Welcome To August

This morning, as I reflected on how this year began and how swiftly it is unfolding, one thing stood out: God has been faithful all the way, and He deserves all our praise.

I am delighted to share God’s Word with you as we step into this new month. The promises for August come from Zechariah chapter 2. In this passage, God speaks of bringing His people into a place of rest, restoration, and safety.

Zechariah 2:13 (AMP)

“Be still before the Lord, all mankind; for He is roused (raised up) from His holy habitation [in response to His persecuted people].”

As you walk through this month, let these powerful truths guide your heart:

1 God has promised to be a wall of fire around you. Do not put your confidence in human security or empty promises. People may fail, but God never fails.

“For I,’ declares the Lord, ‘will be a wall of fire around her [protecting her from enemies], and I will be the glory in her midst.” — Zechariah 2:5 (AMP)

2 God’s arms are always open to receive you when you turn back to Him.

He loves you deeply and longs for your heart.

Hear this! Flee from [Babylon] the land of the north [which shall come under judgment],” declares the Lord, “for I have scattered you like the four winds of the heavens,” declares the Lord.

3 You are the apple of God’s eye.

You are precious to Him. Never settle for less than what God has in store for you.

For thus says the Lord of hosts, “After glory He has sent Me against the nations which plunder you—for he who touches you, touches the apple of His eye.

4 Let your heart be full of joy.

Live with rejoicing this August and throughout the rest of the year, because God is in your midst.

Sing for joy and rejoice, O Daughter of Zion; for behold, I am coming, and I will dwell in your midst,” declares the Lord.

5 God is willing to choose you again.

He is knocking—are you willing to invite Him in and make Him your priority this month?

The Lord will take possession of Judah as His portion in the holy land and will again choose Jerusalem.

Always remember: you are loved beyond measure. Rest in His promises and bask in the fullness of God’s presence throughout August.
