Welcome to December

Dear Beloved,

I’m delighted to welcome you to the month of December — the final stretch of the year. What a gift it is to stand at the doorway of a new month and the closing chapter of the year! Yes, the year may have come with its fair share of challenges that tested our faith, patience, and endurance — but here you are, still standing.

11 months.

334 days.

8,016 hours.

480,960 minutes.

28,857,600 seconds

…of trusting God, growing, learning, falling, rising, and pressing forward.

In this month’s newsletter, let us reflect on a powerful moment in Scripture that teaches us about faith, perspective, and divine multiplication.

Jesus soon saw a huge crowd of people coming to look for him. Turning to Philip, he asked, “Where can we buy bread to feed all these people?”
6 He was testing Philip, for he already knew what he was going to do.
John 6:5–6

Imagine sitting with Jesus while He asks you how to feed over five thousand people — not including women and children. Naturally, you might think, “Why ask me? You are the Son of God!” But Scripture tells us something interesting; Jesus already knew what He would do. He wasn’t searching for solutions — He was checking for faith.

Philip responded by calculating costs and limitations. He focused on what was lacking.

7 Philip replied, “Even if we worked for months, we wouldn’t have enough money to feed them!”
John 6:7

Then Andrew pointed to a small boy with five barley loaves and two fish, yet still doubted:

8 Then Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, spoke up. 9 “There’s a young boy here with five barley loaves and two fish. But what good is that with this huge crowd?”
John 6:8

Without rebuke or frustration, Jesus instructed the people to sit down. He took the little that was available, gave thanks, and began to distribute. What seemed insignificant became abundance. Scarcity became overflow.

What Can We Learn from This Story?

1. God has a plan for you.

He already knows the outcome, but He invites you into the process.

2. Shift your focus.

Stop looking only at the crowd of needs and responsibilities. Look inward — identify your five loaves and two fish.

3. Release what you have.

You cannot multiply what you refuse to surrender. Your seed may look small, but in God’s hands, it becomes a harvest.

4. This year isn’t over.

Do not give up now. There is still divine activity in the final chapter.

5. Make gratitude your lifestyle.

Jesus gave thanks before the miracle. Gratitude is faith in advance.

As you journey through December, remember this:

God still multiplies, still provides, and still restores.

All He asks is that you bring Him what you have — no matter how small it seems.

Welcome to December.

Welcome to a time of divine possibilities.

I wish you a peaceful, joyful, and purposeful month.

Have a blissful December.

Yours in Christ,

Adelekan Bolanle
